Self-Aligning Ball Bearing features two types of structure: cylindrical or tapered holes. The cage material options include steel plate, brass, and more. Characterized by a spherical raceway, it can automatically adjust to compensate for misalignment and shaft deflection. The relative inclination of the inner and outer rings should not exceed 3 degrees.
These bearings are capable of bearing significant radial loads and can also withstand axial loads. Due to the spherical shape of the outer ring raceway, the bearing maintains self-aligning performance even when the inner center line slopes up to 1 to 2.5 degrees relative to the outer ring.
