Cylindrical rollers and raceways are in line contact bearings. It has a large load capacity and mainly bears radial loads. The friction between the rolling elements and the flange of the ring is small, making it suitable for high-speed rotation. According to whether the rings have flanges or not, they can be classified into single-row cylindrical roller bearings such as NU, NJ, NUP, N, and NF, as well as double-row cylindrical roller bearings such as NNU and NN. This bearing has a structure where the inner ring and the outer ring can be separated.
Cylindrical roller bearings with no flanges on either the inner or outer ring can have their inner and outer rings move relatively in the axial direction, so they can be used as free-end bearings. Cylindrical roller bearings with double flanges on one side of the inner and outer rings and a single flange on the other side of the ring can withstand a certain degree of axial load in one direction.
